Moos Runner

Hi there, I’m Johan!

If you’re here, chances are you’ve felt that frustration of knowing there’s a better way to do something but not having the right tools to make it happen. I’ve been there too.

I’ve been a developer for over 20 years (started my first company at 18!), and let me tell you—it’s been a journey of trial and error. A lot of error, actually. Every project has taught me something new, but none more so than my current VR project: a B2B solution for user testing for hardware.

Testing? Don’t get me started. Play mode testing in Unity felt slow, clunky, and was on the list "I will get there soon". Every skipped test haunted me later in the project and I know I should have spent the time but it was too cumbersoome.

So, I decided to fix it. I sat down, thought about the perfect testing process, and realized the tools I needed didn’t exist. That’s how Moose Runner was born—out of my frustration and determination to make life easier for developers like you and me. There are more tools comming like the Lynx Input recorder

Why Build it?

Developing software is tough—games are even tougher. You’re juggling architecture, performance, testing, and creativity, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.

The hardest part? Fixing one thing and fearing what else might break. But here’s the truth: tests build trust—trust in your code and confidence in your work.

That’s why my tools focus on:

  • Saving Time: Streamlining tasks that should take minutes.

  • Keeping It Simple: Tools that just work, without complexity.

  • Growing Together: Your feedback makes them better.

Inspired by nature

It was not until I turned 40, I came to understand my deep fascination with processes. Observing how things work, refining them, and making them more efficient. Whether in daily life or work, processes provide structure and clarity, offering endless opportunities for improvement.

Learning from Nature

Nature is an incredible guide, perfecting its processes over countless iterations. I take inspiration from this, using nature’s adaptability and efficiency as a model to create more effective systems in my work. It’s a powerful reminder that progress happens step by step.
